Dr. Meierhoefer completed a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management and a PhD in Leadership and Organization Change. He has lectured and facilitated in European and US universities. In 2005, he started his own company with a focus on mentoring leaders in business. Since then, he has served and helped leading employees in several companies.

Coaching sessions with Axel start by determining your authentic leadership type. There are many types ranging from transactional to transformational leaders, and servant to resonant leaders and many more.
You will then typically determine your authentic leadership style using a personality style analysis, which Axel has developed himself “Stilumsmart”.
When strong leadership is compromised by poor communication skills, it creates an environment with employee disconnect, confusion and mistrust—a slippery slope indeed. In fact, the more global an organization gets the more important good alignment of communication and management/leadership skills becomes.
That’s why it’s critical to move beyond the conventional assessments and start exploring a more innovative approach that synergizes your leadership, management and communication styles.
Following the style determination, your BHAG is unleashed (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) together with already identifiable intermediate goals. Together you then create a path towards the attainment of your BHAG.
Of equal importance is to identify the necessary skills required to accomplish your BHAG and shed light on the gap or 'what’s missing'. Axel categorizes this step as the “Facilitation of learning”.
Axel's sessions blend elements of traditional coaching with mentoring. Axel draws on his coaching education by applying the main principles of the ICF model and the GROWER methodology, whilst acting as a mentor by utilising his almost 40 years of professional experience.
